Dr. Amy Alderman is a nationally recognised, board-certified plastic surgeon based in the Atlanta area. She is a Director of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and Chair of its Ethics Committee — positions that reflect a career built on both surgical excellence and professional integrity.
She moved to Atlanta in 2010 and founded North Atlanta Plastic Surgery in 2018 with Dr. Aida Joiner, creating what they describe as a boutique practice — small by design, rigorous by training. As a female surgeon and mother of two, she brings a perspective her patients consistently describe as rare: someone who understands what “fabulous” actually means to a woman.
Over the course of her career she has given over 200 national presentations, authored more than 75 peer-reviewed articles, contributed to over 10 surgical textbooks, and served on the boards of the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers and the National Breast Implant Registry. She is an oral examiner for the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a past president of the University of Michigan Plastic Surgery Alumni Association.
Dr. Alderman has been recognised by Jezebel Magazine as Atlanta’s Best Plastic Surgeon, Best Body Contouring Surgeon of Atlanta, and Best Mommy Makeover surgeon. She has received the Vitals Compassionate Doctor Award and is listed among the 10 Best Plastic Surgeons in Georgia for Patient Satisfaction.
Dr. Alderman’s practice is premised on the idea that the best cosmetic surgery makes you look like yourself — not someone else, and not an approximation. Her consultations are long, her plans are individual, and her results are designed to last. She considers the decades after surgery as carefully as the operation itself.
The goal is never transformation. The goal is revelation — the finest version of you, brought forward.
